Staying overnight in Lynchburg we needed to grab a bite before heading to the Hotel. Saw great things about this place. We sat outside upstairs on the patio. The metal high-top chairs arent comfortable for a big back like me but I pulled thru. We started with the Mozzarella spinach sticks. They actually came out cold so we ate 3 and had him take those away. They did take them off the bill after the manager came out to apologize and even asked if we wanted anything in place of them on the house. We politely declined and just waited for our entrees. She got the Morney Florentine with a side wedge salad, brussell sprouts and a baked potato. The Brussels were just fried and also cold but absolutely no flavor. They should definitely come with some sort of glaze or something on top. The wedge salad was good and we enjoyed the chicken. I got the Shiner burger with fries and an extra side of the mushroom marsala risotto. I did not enjoy the risotto but the burger and fries were fantastic! It's definitely a cool spot but just the appetizer coming out cold but a damper on everything else.

We had an absolutely amazing experience celebrating my Liberty University doctorate graduation at Iron & Ale in Lynchburg, Virginia. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, upscale, and perfect for such a special occasion. The food was outstanding, the drinks were excellent, and every person in our group left impressed. What really stood out was the service and hospitality. The staff made our celebration feel important and memorable, and everything from the appetizers to the desserts was top-notch. After years of hard work earning my Doctorate of Business Administration, it meant a lot to celebrate such a huge milestone in a place that made the evening feel truly special. If youβre in Lynchburg and looking for a great restaurant for a celebration, family dinner, or date night, I highly recommend Iron & Ale. Thank you for helping make a once-in-a-lifetime achievement even more unforgettable. π

After reading recent reviews, we were a little concerned, but decided to chance it and go anyways. I'm so glad we did. You could tell they have regular customers come in, they were a greeted by name, which is always a good starting sign. Our server, Louie, was super attentive, we never had to ask for a refill and the food was delicious. There's plenty of parking all around. While some options are a little pricey, for the quality and quantity you get, it's completely worth it. 10 out of 10, we'll definitely be back!

The restaurant has a really neat vibe and our waitress was fantastic. The food is mediocre. The tuna was absolutely delicious but the crab cakes were overcooked. What they serve as risotto is more of a rice dish than creamy risotto or risotto that has sat for awhile as all the creaminess was gone. The nachos with cornbeef were just ok and there was nothing special about the burger. Our drinks were good so I would recommend the restaurant as a fun place for drinks.

We stopped in off the highway when driving through Virginia. We had a very good dinner. The beer selection was surprisingly good with several options from local breweries and ones in the northeast as well. We sat at a booth in the bar; the food was very good and the service was great.
